Brookline Zoning Board Requesting 40B Moratorium
The Town of Brookline Zoning Board of Appeals, through its Board of Selectmen, has requested that the Commonwealth grant a six month moratorium on new projects.
The ZBA says that it is overwhelmed with six Chapter 40B proposals with a combined 497 units currently under review by the Zoning Board of Appeals. Four additional projects under Chapter 40B have been proposed with another 473 units.
The state is unlikely to grant a moratorium — in fact, there is probably no authority for granting a moratorium.
